The Security Department ensures that the vehicles, locations and studio sets are secure.
Recommended Skills for working in the Security Department:
Enjoy working outdoors and be in good physical condition
Organized, calm under pressure and able to solve problems
Ability to communicate well with the crew and the general public
Ability to multitask and problem solve
Knowledge of the media production industry
A combination of demonstrated skills such as training and knowledge of procedures for fire, vandalism and theft prevention. Experience as a Security Guard/Watchperson is preferred.
+ Security Coordinator
The Security Coordinator works with the Location Manager and the Production Manager to identify the security needs for a production. They schedule the Security Crew and complete other tasks as required.
+ Security Captain
The Security Captain assists the Security Coordinator.
+ Security Crew/Watchperson
The Security Crew/ Watchperson ensures that entrances and exits are locked, maintains a list of people who have keys, and checks the site, access points and equipment regularly. They ensure that only authorized persons are on set and that vehicles are secure.
